Good Karma Brands has leased Spanish Sports “ESPN Deportes 1580” WTTN Columbus WI to Michael Krute’s New WTTN LLC, which has flipped the station to Liberal Talk simulcasting Liberal Talk “Resistance Radio 1580” WRRD Waukesha/Milwaukee.

The 5kW day/800w critical hours WTTN covers the areas north of Madison, but has a pending application for a translator on 92.7 that will cover Madison proper. The move returns Krute to the Madison market as his “Devil’s Advocates” show originated on iHeartMedia Liberal Talk “92.1 The Mic” WXXM prior to its flip to Classic Hits in November 2016.

Wisconsin’s Resistance Radio Network has expanded, adding a simulcast of its Progressive political format on WTTN-1580 AM in Columbus/Madison, Wisconsin effective immediately.

New WTTN LLC, headed by CEO Michael Crute, has entered into a Local Marketing Agreement with Good Karma Brands to begin operating the station.

“We are excited to see our network grow and build off the success we’ve had in Milwaukee,” Crute said.

Crute’s WRRD 1510 AM Waukesha/Milwaukee station has been operating the Progressive Talk-Resistance Radio format since February 1, 2017.

WTTN 1580 AM is a 5,000-watt, AM daytime licensed station. During critical hours, two hours after sunrise and before sunset, WTTN 1580 AM transmits at 800 watts. WTTN 1580 AM is granted eligible for a FM translator in the Madison area at 92.7 FM.
