April 18, 2018

1540 WNWR Philadelphia New World RadioUpdate 4/18: Aztec Capital Partners will pay $375,000 for 1540 WNWR Philadelphia.

Original Report 4/17: Aztec Capital Partners has agreed to purchase Brokered 1540 WNWR Philadelphia from New World Radio’s Global Radio LLC. for an undisclosed amount.

WNWR will become a sister station to Spanish Tropical “El Zol 99.9” 1340 WHAT/99.9 W260CZ Philadelphia. The station operates with 50kW day/250w nights and currently airs programming from China Radio International.

The sellers retain their 1120 WUST Washington DC and 1190 WCRW Leesburg VA.

This is to announce that a contract has been signed and an application will be filed with the FCC requesting consent to the assignment of license of WNWR-AM, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, from Global Radio, L.L.C. to Aztec Capital Partners, Inc.

The Seller, Global Radio, L.L.C, is a Falls Church, Virginia-based Limited Liability Company headed by Trustees Alan Pendleton and Dick Aronoff. Global is one of the New World Radio group of commonly-owned stations, which also include WCRW-AM and WUST-AM in the Washington, D.C. radio market.

The Buyer, Aztec Capital Partners, Inc., is a Philadelphia-based corporation owned by Ken Trujillo and managed by Art Camiolo. Aztec owns WHAT-AM and W260-CZ in Philadelphia.
WNWR-AM operates at 50kW daytime and .25 kW nighttime.

KALIL & CO., INC. is the exclusive broker for this transaction.
