Alpha Media has flipped Classic Hip-Hop “G105.1” WGHL Shepherdsville/Louisville KY to Alternative “Alt 105.1“.
Concurrent with the launch, Urban AC “Magic 101.3” WMJM Jeffersontown has shifted its playlist for the holiday weekend in a throwback direction focused mainly on Hip-Hop and some R&B from the 1990s and early 2000s.
The changes give Louisville an Alternative formatted station for the first time in well over a decade and consolidate the Urban targeted audience in the market. WGHL will retain the syndicated Brooke & Jubal show in mornings.
WGHL registered a 1.7 share in the Spring 2018 Nielsen Audio ratings, while WMJM held a 3.7 share.
