Three weeks after launching Adult CHR “107.5 Hits-FM“ 1400 WGTN/107.5 W298CO Georgetown SC, Creative Coast Media has announced that the format is moving to Colonial Media + Entertainment’s 93.7 WXJY Georgetown.
Creative Coast has begun operating WXJY under an LMA with an option to purchase with the Hits-FM programming replacing Gospel “Rejoice 93.7“. “93.7 Hits-FM” will simulcast on WGTN/W298CO in the short-term. WXJY programming includes Tino Cochino Radio in afternoons and PopCrush Nights.
Creative Coast Media is proud to announce that they have started operating WXJY 93.7 FM in Georgetown as 93.7 Hits FM, under an LMA agreement, with a purchase option.
The station which had previously been broadcasting urban gospel, changed formats on Monday to a Hot AC format. Playing all the hits from artist like Bruno Mars, Kelly Clarkson, The Chainsmokers, and flashback favorites from the 90s like Janet Jackson, N’ Sync, and many more. The motto is more music, less commercials.
The market is currently missing a Hot AC format, and Creative Coast Media is looking to fill that hole. The lineup includes Tino Cochino 3pm to 7pm, and Pop Crush Nights 7pm to Midnight. Also added programming like the Retro Lunch from 12pm to 1pm, retro favorites mixed back to back, the Five O’clock free ride, a 10-minute music set mixed to get your commute home started, and then the weekend party starter from 8pm to Midnight on Saturday.
In addition to the above programming, the station is community oriented, and actively involved with local schools, helping small business, and community events.
The station will cover all of Georgetown county, including the southern part of Myrtle Beach.
