A round of downsizing appears to be ongoing at some iHeartMedia clusters.
The Wichita Eagle reports that multiple staffers have been let go from AC “B98” 97.9 KRBB Wichita. Exiting are Program Director/midday host Dave Wilson and morning hosts Adam ‘Lukas’ Cox and Careth Beard. Cox joined KRBB in 2012 after previous stops at KDND Sacramento, KHFI Austin, KDGE Dallas, and WHTZ New York. Beard joined the show in 2014.
In West Palm Beach, WPTV reports Program Director/afternoon host Maverick and APD/MD Kelsi have exited CHR “Wild 95.5” WLDI. Midday host Mike Perry is out after over two decades at AC “Kool 105.5” WOLL and MD/afternoon host Andy Preston departed Classic Rock “98.7 The Gater” WKGR after 28 years.
In a sad turn, Preston was killed in an automobile accident on Wednesday a day after his termination.
