After 21 years with iHeartMedia’s 1110 KFAB Omaha, where she served as afternoon news anchor and Agri-Service Director, Karla James has joined NRG Media News/Talk 1400 KLIN Lincoln NE.
James will serve as a reporter and anchor for KLIN. She has also worked for Nebraska News Network and served as Adjunct Professor of Broadcasting for Midland University during her career.
KLIN 1400 AM, a division of NRG Media based in Lincoln, Neb., has a new addition to their broadcast team.
Karla James, previously at KFAB in Omaha, brings her extensive news reporting and anchor experience to KLIN. James is leaving after 21 years were she was the afternoon drive anchor, in addition to previously holding positions at Nebraska News Network, and the title of Adjunct Professor of Broadcasting for Midland University.
“We’re absolutely thrilled to have Karla on the KLIN team” says KLIN Program Director Bob Shomper. “She’s a native Nebraskan who’s arguably the best known news voice in the state.”
James takes over for Jane Monnich, who retired from KLIN in February after 45 years.
