Grace Broadcasting Services Country “US51 Country” 93.5 WKBQ Covington TN is seeing one longtime talent depart while another returns.
Jimmy Hicks is departing as PD/morning host. Hicks worked at WKBQ from 2000 to 2012 before returning in 2013. He then readded the Program Director duties in 2018. Hicks will be relocating to Atlanta to join Christian media ministry Wretched.org as an air-talent and producer
Grayson programmed WKBQ following Hicks’ 2012 exit until 2018 at which time Hicks reclaimed the title. He will also host afternoons at the station in addition to his role hosting “Morning Edition” on Public News/Talk 91.1 WKNO-FM Memphis. Grayson is longtime veteran of the Memphis market with stints at multiple stations and SiriusXM’s Elvis Radio since arriving in the market in 1976.
Chris Jay has moved from afternoons to mornings to round out the changes at WKBQ.
