Cumulus Media AC “Majic 107.7” KMAJ-FM Carbondale/Topeka KS has announced the addition of Danielle Norwood as morning co-host starting Tuesday, February 22.
Norwood joins KMAJ-FM from Alpha Media News/Talk 580 WIBW/104.9 K285GL where she has hosted a daily show from 1-2pm for the past six years. She also hosts a daily program for local PBS affiliate KWTU-TV. Norwood previously spent a ten years each at Eagle Communications Salina KS as Business Manager and on-air host and at Salina Media Group as Traffic Director.
Norwood fills the opening created by the departure of Angie Stevens in January to deal with some personal and family health issues. She will work alongside Shawn Knight who had joined KMAJ-FM last July.

Norwood was recently named “Best Local Radio Personality” in the Topeka Capital-Journal’s “Best Of” Awards for the second year in a row. She has also been recognized by the Kansas Association of Broadcasters for the past several years for her daily television talk show on KTWU-TV, which highlights nonprofit organizations and special events in Topeka and northeast Kansas. Norwood joins Cumulus Topeka after six years hosting The Danielle Norwood Show for Alpha Media’s WIBW AM 580/FM News 104.9.

In addition to her work in broadcasting, Norwood has a desire to make a difference in her community. In the four years she has lived in Topeka, Norwood has served on several local community boards, including the Greater Topeka Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, “Let’s Help!”, and the Topeka Community Foundation’s Grant Advisory Committee. Whether on the air or in the community, Norwood’s goal is to inspire and empower others to move from sitting on the sidelines of life to playing an active role in helping others to become better.
