Hubbard Sports “101 ESPN” WXOS East St. Louis IL morning co-host Michelle Smallmon announced this morning she will be departing the station at the end of this week to return to ESPN itself.
Smallmon told listeners that she will start out this tenure at ESPN hosting overnight Sports Center updates on ESPN Radio, but will continue to contribute to WXOS in a role to be announced. Her current stint at WXOS began in 2018 as morning co-host with Bernie Miklasz before shifting to a digital editor and fill-in host. She would return to mornings with Randy Karraker in May 2020. She previously had an earlier stint at WXOS as a producer before moving to ESPN Radio in 2015 where she served as a producer.
