After acquiring Classic Country “92.7 Hank-FM” KNCU Newport OR from Thomas Hodgins’ Xana Oregon for $85,000 in May, Stephen Woodward’s KORE Broadcasting has closed on the deal and relaunched the station as “Fox Sports Newport“.

The station’s lineup will feature programming from Fox Sports Radio including The Dan Patrick Show and The Herd with Colin Cowherd. It will replicate the lineup from sister “Fox Sports Eugene” 1050 KORE/102.9 K275CX including the local Danny & Justin Show from 2-3pm and “The Bald Faced Truth” hosted by John Canzano based at Alpha Media’s “750 The Game” KXTG Portland from 3-6pm. KNCU will also feature a Friday night high school football show in the fall, University of Oregon football and men’s basketball, Los Angeles Chargers football, and the NCAA men’s basketball tournament.
