It’s surprising that there were stations who didn’t immediately add “I Just Might,” the new Bruno Mars song. A few radio colleagues shared the same thoughts, surprised that even some Top 50 markets hadn’t played it in the first week, especially coming off the “Christmas doldrums” with a paucity of great current music. After all, it’s Bruno’s first solo release in 9 years. His new album “The Romantic” comes out February 27. Good news for Pop radio, he’s just one of the many major artists set to return in 2026.
We’re already getting requests for the single, though most listeners referred to “I Just Might” as “the new Bruno Mars song” and didn’t know the title. It’s been Top 3 on Spotify since its release. We’ve asked callers what they think; most love it for the energy, catchiness and overall good vibe. So far, it doesn’t look like this is just initial-release hype. It looks and sounds like a smash hit, and just what we need right now.
Harry Styles will surely be our hot topic next week, with the lead single from his upcoming March 6 album “Kiss All The Time. Disco Occasionally” being released Thursday at 7pm ET. We’ll debut it on Liveline as we’ve done many other times in the past with artists like Dua Lipa, Sabrina Carpenter, and Post Malone. Only a live show enables listeners to truly be a part of the action and give instant live feedback.
It’s now been a decade since 2016, and people all over the world are hopping in on the current trend of re-sharing old pictures, videos and memories of that year. Many hit songs are blowing up once again on Spotify and receiving lots of requests on Liveline. We’ve compiled our list of our 10 biggest songs released in 2016, as called in and texted by listeners from that year.

2025 was an overall mediocre year for long-lasting hits. Most of our throwback requests range from 2007-2013. Even the majority of number-ones from 2016 were weak at the time and never held on as golds. That trend has continued ever since, with many seemingly popular massive hits then now being virtually forgotten or burned within six months. Remember “Anxiety” by Doechii?
