After six years in mornings at Audacy Hot AC “Mix 106.5” WWMX Baltimore, Jess Dutra is departing the station on Friday, September 4 to relocate closer to her family out west.
Dutra and Steve Kramer joined WWMX in September 2020. She previously spent seven years at iHeartMedia San Diego rising from intern to holding roles as morning show producer, co-host and social media coordinator for the “Kramer and Geena” and “Geena the Latina and Frankie V” morning shows on CHR “Channel 93.3” KHTS-FM.
In a memo to staffers, Director of Programming Tom Cook wrote, “With some sadness, I am writing to let you know Jess Dutra is leaving Mix 106-5. She and ‘Garage Boy’ are moving back West to be closer to family and will live in Las Vegas. Her last day will be Friday September 4th. Jess moved here with Kramer six years ago, tasked with building a fantastic morning show that connected with listeners on-air and on social media. That wouldn’t have been an easy task at any time, but especially was challenging in the middle of the pandemic. In the last six years, Jess engrained herself in Baltimore and Central Maryland. She bought all the Old Bay, Natty Bo, Ravens, and O’s gear, and lived her life on-air and on social with a transparency and openness seldom found in content creators. Jess, we’re gonna miss you, no doubt. But we’re all excited to see your next chapter as we follow along on IG.”
