For the second time this year, 92.1 Ellwood City PA will have a new owner.
Pittsburgh Community Broadcasting, the owners of Public News/Talk 90.5 WESA and AAA 91.3 WYEP Pittsburgh, will acquire what is currently WCGF-FM Ellwood City from Family Life Ministries for $375,000. The sale follows the recent $350,000 sale of the former Classic Hits “Pickle 92.1” WKPL from Forever Media that closed at the end of June.
Since then, Family Life agreed to acquire the larger signal of Country “Froggy 104.3” WOGI Moon Township/105.5 W288BO Pittsburgh from Forever Media for $1 million. The 13kW/219m Class B signal of WOGI overlaps with the 2.5kW/156m Class A signal of WCGF-FM making it redundant.
The 92.1 signal will increase the coverage of one of the two Pittsburgh Community Broadcasting stations northwest of Pittsburgh.
