Minnesota Public Radio’s “YourClassical MPR” network based at 99.5 KSJN Minneapolis has promoted Steve Seel to morning host starting Monday, October 5.

Seel currently hosts Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday nights on the network as well as the national SymphonyCast. He originally joined the station in 1999 before moving to sister AAA “The Current” 89.3 KCMP when it launched in 2005 as midday host and then co-hosted mornings from 2009 to 2015 when he moved back to the Classical side. Earlier in his career, Seel worked at WUSF Tampa and WNED-FM Buffalo.

Seel said, “I’m honored to be taking over the chair for my good friend and colleague John Birge in the mornings on Your Classical MPR. While John is in no way replaceable, I promise to bring listeners all of this wonderful music with the same amount of love, and a little humor, too. I can’t wait to get started.”
