Corus Entertainment has relaunched its two FM’s in Cornwall, ON bringing in brand names used at sister stations across Canada.
At 11am today, Hot AC “Variety 104” CFLG became “104.5 Fresh-FM“. Jimmy Kalaitzis and Sue Stewart remain in the now renamed “Fresh Mornings”. Shannon Brooksbank moves from morning co-host at 101.9 CJSS to host middays. Nathan Carr and Mike Lavallee remain in afternoons and nights respectively.
That change will be accompanied by Classic Hits “Greatest Hits 101.9” CJSS becoming “Boom 101.9” at 3pm today. Dan Allaire will be joined by previous afternoon host Bill Halman for the new “Boom Breakfast”. Tom Schoch joins for middays, while Brand Director Darryl Adams will host afternoons.
Corus Radio Cornwall kicks off back-to-school with the launch of two new radio stations, 104.5 Fresh FM and boom 101.9, bringing listeners today’s chart topping artists as well as the best of greatest hits.
104.5 Fresh FM breezes into the city at 11 a.m. (ET) and kicks things off with Hideaway by Kiesza. The station will feature today’s fresh music and yesterday’s best hits from popular artists such as Pink, Maroon 5 and Bruno Mars to Bon Jovi, Black Eyed Peas and Train. Jimmy Kalaitzis and Sue Stewart return to anchor the new Fresh Mornings with Shannon Brooksbank hosting middays and Nathan Carr taking listeners through the afternoon drive.
The new boom 101.9 hits the air waves at 3 p.m. (ET) and launches with Journey’s classic, Don’t Stop Believin’. boom 101.9 is the destination for a playlist of number one songs from the ‘70s, ‘80s and ‘90s from artists like Elton John, Fleetwood Mac, The Eagles, Bob Marley, U2, The Police, and Queen. The station’s on-air lineup includes fan favorites Dan Allaire and Bill Halman on the new boom Breakfast, Tom Schoch as the new midday host, followed by Darryl Adams in afternoon drive.
