Leatherstocking Media Group sells Silent 1390 WFBL Syracuse NY to Wolf Radio Inc. for $275,000. As part of the deal Leatherstocking agrees to file for a translator at Wolf’s request and change the call letters of 1050 WSEN Baldwinsville to eliminate confusion with 103.9 WSEN-FM Mexico. Rogers Media Acquires CISL Vancouver; To Flip To Sports

Newcap Media has announced it will sell Soft AC 650 CISL Vancouver BC to Rogers Media for an undisclosed amount. The purchase of CISL gives Rogers Media a home for the NHL’s Vancouver Canucks. Rogers had announced in March that it will takeover the radio broadcasts of the franchise next year from Bell Media Sports “Team 1040” CKST. The purchase gives Rogers a fourth station in Vancouver joining “News 1130” CKWX, Variety Hits “Jack 96.9” CJAX, and CHR “Kiss Radio” 104.9 CKKS-2. Hog Radio LLC purchases AC “Variety 106.5” KBVA Bella Vista/Fayetteville AR from Hendren Communications for $1.15 million. Pure Word Broadcasting acquires Southern Gospel 104.1 KMHM Lutesville MO from Southern Gospetality LLC for $200,000 to pair with Christian AC 89.9 KHIS Jackson MO. South Carolina State University will acquire Silent 1580 WPJK Orangeburg SC from Ermma Barton Gowdy for the $6500 the station owes to the FCC for outstanding filing fees. Radio One Acquires Red Zebra Pair In DC & Richmond; WMMJ To Add Simulcast

Red Zebra Broadcasting is selling Sports 92.7 WWXT Prince Frederick MD and 950 WXGI Richmond VA to Radio One for an undisclosed amount. With the deal, Radio One will begin operating both stations via LMA on Monday, May 1. WWXT will drop from the “ESPN 980” simulcast it has with 980 WTEM Washington DC and 94.3 WWXX Buckland VA and begin simulcasting Radio One Urban AC “Majic 102.3” WMMJ Bethesda MD. The addition of 92.7 to WMMJ will expand the station’s coverage on the southern and eastern side of the Washington market. Red Rock Radio Sells Last Two Duluth Stations

After selling off its other Duluth MN stations to Midwest Communications and Minnesota Public Radio, Red Rock Radio has found a buyer for Sports “92.1 The Fan” WWAX Hermantown and 1490 KQDS Duluth. Dan Hatfield’s Twin Ports Radio LLC will acquire both stations for $200,000. Northpine.com reports that Hatfield, who also serves as head of local Christian network Refuge Media Group, will move the stations into the studios of network flagship 89.5 WJRF Duluth while retaining the current Sports format. Station Sales After bouncing around multiple stations and translators for a few years, 4-K’s LLLP Sports “Mile High Sports Radio” will gain some stability as it acquires 1340 KDCO Denver and translators 92.9 K225BS Longmont and 104.7 K284CI Denver CO from Vic Michael’s Kona Coast Radio for $464,000. 4-K’s previously has twice sold off the home of the station in the past three years forcing it to move to another frequency. WCHB will become Crawford’s fourth station in the Detroit market joining Christian Preaching “560 The Word” WRDT Monroe, Gospel 1340 WEXL Royal Oak/96.7 W244D Detroit, and Christian AC “103.5 The Light” WMUZ Detroit. Envision Broadcast Network, owners of Hot AC “Q92 The Beat” 92.3 KKGQ Newton/Wichita KS has announced it will merge into Rocking M Media. Rocking M currently owns 24 stations in Central and Western Kansas and is in the process of acquiring Variety Hits “97.1 Bob-FM” KIBB Haven and Classic Country “100.5 Hank-FM” KVWF Augusta in the Wichita markets from Connoisseur Media. As part of the deal, Rocking M will integrate Envision Broadcast Academy’s educational programs for the vision impaired into its operations in all of its markets.
