WBVV is assuming the format from sister “Cool Oldies 1490” WTUP which is now simulcasting with 99.3.

iHeartMedia has flipped Southern Gospel 99.3 WBVV Tupelo MS to Classic Hits as “Big 99.3“.

It’s my understanding that Telesouth’s WFTA in Tupelo flipped (or more accurately, pivoted) to classic hits as well the other day. I got a quick on the fly recording of it, it was terrible. I’m not sure what’s going on. They cut out in the middle of a Sam Smith song, and a few seconds of dead air later, right into the middle of an Elvis Presley song.

Also, that aircheck was weird. It went from Elvis’ “Bossa Nova Baby” into the Tom Kent network (that’s not a song he would play, I think).
