Original Report 6/29: Capital Broadcasting, owners of Conservative Talk 1430 KLO Salt Lake City has acquired Variety Hits “103.1 Jack-FM” KJQN from the SLC Divestiture Trust I for an undisclosed amount.
On July 16, 103.1 will begin simulcasting KLO’s programming featuring a local morning show hosted by Walter Platz from 6-8am and syndicated hosts the rest of the day. Among the programs featured on the station are Laura Ingraham, Clark Howard, Michael Medved, Dennis Miller, and Michael Savage.
The SLC Divestiture Trust I recently sold 1280 KZNS and 97.5 KZNS-FM to Larry Miller Communications for $3.25 Million. It still must sell off 103.9 KUDE Nephi, 105.1 KAUU Manti, and 105.3 KDWY Diamondville, WY.
In addition to KLO, Capitol also owns AC “Now 97.9” KBZN.
