A change could be on the horizon at Clear Channel Classic Hits “Classic 93.1” KHLX Pollock Pines/Sacramento.
Domain registrations for 931Country.com, 931NewCountry.com, Country931FM.com, and NewCountry931.com were made on Friday by Ken Charles, the VP/Programming of Clear Channel Sacramento.
KHLX registered a 1.9 share in the July PPM’s. It normally gets a strong ratings boost each fall while playing Christmas Music. Its Classic Hits competitor, KCCL recently moved from 92.1 to a stronger 101.5 signal.
A move to Country would make KHLX the third station in the format in Sacramento joining CBS’ 105.1 KNCI and Entravision’s “101.9 The Wolf” KNTY. KNCI is current sixth overall in the market with a 5.3 share and KNTY is thirteenth at 3.4.
