Former KTTV Los Angeles weatherman Mark Thompson and CNN Latino host Elizabeth Espinosa are joining Clear Channel Talk 640 KFI Los Angeles to fill the vacant 1-3pm timeslot.
Thompson, not to be confused with the former 95.5 KLOS morning co-host with the same name, and Espinosa both worked together as reporters in the past at KTTV. The duo fill the schedule hole made when Rush Limbaugh moved to sister “1150 The Patriot” KEIB last month.
I have a question, maybe its stupid but kfi is 50kw non directional full time. I noticed two towers one with a top net (same as wip towers) and one without. They have two separate patterns day and night, now the question, I always thought that if a signal uses one tower its the same pattern 24/7/365, its when multiple towers are being used that the directional pattern is apparent. kfi is stated as only using one tower, do they use one tower day and one tower night.
The second, smaller tower, is their back-up tower. KFI is indeed a clear-channel 50kw non directional full time (day and night).
