Jaus joins KCYY from sister “K92.3” WWKA Orlando, where he has hosted afternoon since December 2014. He takes the spot vacated by Jeff Miles following his move to Greater Media’s 102.5 WKLB Boston last month.

Prior to joining WWKA Jaus hosted nights at CBS CHR “Energy 103.7” KNGY San Diego.

Cox Media Group (CMG) San Antonio has named J.R. Jaus as the New Morning Show co-host on Y100 alongside Beth Chandler. Jaus previously was with CMG’s WWKA K92.3 in Orlando.

“JR’s coming to TEXAS, and we welcome him to the CMG San Antonio team,” said Jeff Garrison Operations Manager for CMG San Antonio. “He is both entertaining and engaging with the audience, and we look forward to hearing him on Y100!”

J.R. Jaus has been in radio for over a decade going back to his first gig at 19. He has TV credits as well, including Nickelodeon’s “Victorious” with Ariana Grande and on CSI Miami.

“I am very excited to be in a city that is so passionate about country music because it is a true passion of mine,” said Jaus. “San Antonio, and Texas in general, is a place that I feel honored to be able to do country radio in. I look forward to connecting with this amazing community and being a part of people’s lives every day. Teaming up with my co-host Beth will be a blast, as she is as genuine as it gets and has worked hard to make her mark in San Antonio. Finally, I must thank Cox Media’s Susan Larkin, Jeff Garrison, Ben Reed, Steve Smith, Stevie DeMann, and Drew Bland for presenting me with this opportunity. I joined the company 15 months ago so to be presented with this kind of a promotion so quickly is very flattering and shows that Cox Media Group is truly invested in their talent.”
