FCC Report 8/7: Looking At First Week Of Second Phase Of AM Revitalization

The first week of at Class A/B phase of the AM Translator Revitalization Waiver Period is in the books.

240 stations filed to move translators in the first week, bringing the total amount of applications made since the waiver period began to 873. Salem Media made the most applications with eighteen. Other prolific applicants were iHeartMedia with 11, Midwest Communications with 6, Crawford Broadcasting with 5, and Mapleton and Saga Communications with 4 each.

As a reminder, subscribers have exclusive access to the “AM Translator Tracker” checking the status of now all 873 revitalization applications.
