Colonial Radio Group is acquiring News/Talk simulcast 93.9 WJXY-FM Conway/Myrtle Beach and 93.7 WXJY Georgetown SC from Cumulus Media’s Joule Broadcasting trust for $240,000.
Colonial owns or is in the process of acquiring Silent 900 WNMB North Myrtle Beach, Gospel 1200 WMIR Atlantic Beach and translators for both. The company also owns stations in the Fayetteville NC and Olean NY markets.
WJXY-FM/WXJY currently run an all syndicated talk lineup from Westwood and Salem Media Networks including Imus In The Morning. The station also is an affiliate of the NFL’s Washington Redskins network.
