Educational Media Foundation’s Christian AC “K-Love” will enter Puerto Rico for the first time as the company purchases Rock “Alfa Rock 105.7” WCAD San Juan from Broadcasting & Programming Systems of Puerto Rico for $2.9 million.
Fitzgerald & Hawras Partnership and Sound Communications are entering a Coordinated Modification Agreement in which Fitzgerald & Hawras’ Oldies “Cool 96” 96.1 WPHD South Waverly PA and Sound AC “Magic 92.7” WENY-FM Elmira NY will exchange licenses but retain programming on their current frequencies. Both groups have filed modifications that would see the two stations swap frequency locations before then exchanging licenses to keep the current programming and ownership on the existing frequency. When all is completed Sound would own 92.7 WENY-FM South Waverly and Fitzgerald & Hawras would own 96.1 WPHD Elmira.
Cassandra Harris-Lockwood’s Phoenix Radio will purchase Silent 1550 WUSP/95.5 W238CA Utica and 1480 WRCK Remsen NY from Good Guys Broadcasting for $125,000. The buyer operates the Utica Phoenix monthly newspaper.
Community Broadcasting sells 1250 KOFC Fayetteville AR and 103.3 K277AZ Osceola MO (with CP to move to 106.1 Fayetteville) to Stephen Butler and John Lykins’ Ol Time Radio Broadcasting for $125,000. Butler currently owns Alternative “104.9 The X” KXNA Springdale, Sports “1190 The Fan” KREB Bentonville, and 1390 KFFK Rogers in the Fayetteville market.
In a deal announced earlier this month, Randy and Debbie McKone’s Elkhorn Media Group have agreed to purchase Capps Broadcasting’s six station in Pendleton OR and Walla Walla WA for $1.75 million. Elkhorn will begin operating Classic Hits “92.1 Party-FM” KUMA-FM Pilot Rock, Country “103.5 K-Wheat” KWHT Pendleton, CHR “Hot 107.7” KWVN Pendleton, Sports “1240/103.1 The Ticket” KTIX/K276GF Pendleton, News/Talk 1290 KUMA Pendleton, and Sports “ESPN Walla Walla” 1490 KTEL Walla Walla/99.7 K259CR Milton-Freewater via LMA on August 1.
World Media Broadcast Company sells Variety 1450 WCLM Highland Springs/Richmond VA to Mobile Radio Partners for $75,000.
Bradford Caldwell’s Caldwell Media acquires Southern Gospel 1490 KWXT Dardanelle AR from the estate of George Domerese for $50,000. The buyer also gains the right to apply for a translaor for KWXT in the on-going filing period. Caldwell also owns Classic Rock “107.3 Earl-FM” KERL Cotton Plant AR.
Tool Shed PDX donates 96.5 KSQI Madras OR to Rouge Radio so that it can launch 101.5 KXYQ-LP Portland before its CP expires in August.

Courtney French Broadcasting’s Urban Oldies “900 Gold” WATV Birmingham AL will come to FM with the purchase of 94.9 W235BS Birmingham from Red Mountain Ventures for $385,000. W235BS currently is operated by iHeartMedia as Alternative “Alt 94.9“.
Mountain Community Translators sells 93.9 K230BZ Pueblo and 95.7 K239CH Colorado Springs CO to Todd Robinson’s United States CP for $1,000. K230BZ will continue to rebroadcast 690 KWRP Pueblo, while K239CH will rebroadcast 1040 KCBR Monument.
Another of Todd Robinson’s companies, KZLZ Inc., swaps 98.1 K251CG Willcox AZ to Mountain Community Translators for 102.9 K275CP Phoenix. K251CG rebroadcasts Classic Country 1250 KHIL Willcox, while K275CP carries Immaculate Heart Media’s Catholic 1340 KIHP Mesa.
