Scott Gaines is transferring to Cumulus Country “Kicks 101.5” WKHX Atlanta as Assistant Program Director/Afternoon host to round out the station’s recent lineup revamp.
Gaines had been hosting afternoons for Cumulus’ “Kix 106” 105.9 WGKX Memphis since early 2016. Prior to that he worked at “95.5 Nash Icon” WSM-FM Nashville and has also worked in Dallas and Detroit.
Cumulus Media announces that it has appointed radio programming professional and on-air personality Scott Gaines as Afternoon Host and Assistant Program Director for Country radio station Kicks 101.5/WKHX in Atlanta, GA. Gaines moves from Cumulus Media-Memphis, where he was Afternoon Host for Country station Kix 106/WGKX. Gaines will debut on Kicks 101.5 on September 5, 2017. His show will air weekdays from 3pm-7pm. In addition to his new role at Kicks 101.5,
Gaines has over 20 years’ radio experience and was previously Afternoon Personality for Cumulus Media-Dallas’ Country station, 95.5 NASH Icon/WSM-FM. He was also Afternoon Drive Host, Assistant Program Director and Music Director for 106.7 THE FOX/WDTW-FM in Detroit, MI. Gaines holds a B.A. degree in Communication/Radio/Television from Southeastern Oklahoma State University.
