Big Country 97.5 Debuts In Wichita Falls

Big Country 97.5 KXXN Wichita Falls MediaFalls Media completed its move and upgrade of Regional Mexican “96.3 La Ley” KXXN Iowa Park/Wichita Falls TX on February 1 and flipped it to Classic Country “Big Country 97.5“.

Falls Media President Dan Balla tells us that the station is the first affiliate of Scott Shannon and Gary Reynolds’ new Classic Country network. Reynolds spent 18 years programming “Real Country” for ABC Radio/Citadel/Cumulus and Shannon’s “True Oldies Channel“. The station is focusing on Country hits of the 1970s through 90s. It can be heard via streaming here.

The move also corresponded with the upgrade of the station back to its fully licensed 6kW/100m parameters after operating with multiple STA’s with lower power and periods of silence since 2013 due to electrical and air conditioning issues that have now been repaired.

Falls Media also owns Variety Hits “100.9 Bob-FM” KWFB Holliday in the Wichita Falls market.
