Immaculate Heart Radio Acquires Orlando Pair
Immaculate Heart Media has announced the acquisition of Sports “1080 The Team” WHOO Kissimmee and Brokered Christian 1190 WAMT Pine Castle/Orlando FL from Genesis Communications for $1.515 million.
Immaculate Heart operates the Catholic “Relevant Radio” network, which will debut on one of the stations upon closing of the sale. Genesis will continue to own stations in Tampa and Melbourne FL following the deal, which was brokered by Kalil & Co.
This is to announce that a contract has been signed and an application is being filed with the FCC for the transfer of radio stations WAMT-AM and WHOO-AM, Orlando, Florida from Genesis Communications l, Inc. to Immaculate Heart Media Inc.
The Seller, Genesis Communications I, Inc. is a Florida-based company headed by Bruce Maduri. Genesis also owns radio stations in Tampa-St. Petersburg-Clearwater and Melbourne- Titusville-Cocoa, all in Florida, web publications News Talk Florida, Sports Talk Florida, and content production company United Cities Productions.
The Buyer, Relevant RadioTM (Immaculate Heart Media Inc.), is a Wisconsin-based not-for-profit company headed by Rev. Francis J. Hoffman, Executive Director/CEO. Immaculate Heart Media Inc. owns AM and FM radio stations throughout the United States.
WAMT-AM operates at 1190 kHz. WHOO-AM operates at 1080 kHz.
