Jonathan A. Mason Sr.’s JAM Media Solutions has announced the acquisition of six stations in the Outer Banks of North Carolina and Muscatine IA from three sellers.
In North Carolina, JAM will acquire Country “Water Country 94.5” WCMS Hatteras and Hot AC “Beach 104” 104.1 WCXL Kill Devil Hills from Max Media and Classic Rock 92.3 WZPR Nags Head and AAA “99.1 The Sound” WVOD Manteo from Hengooch LLC (and operated by Max Media via LMA) for a combined $1.85 million. Also included in the deal is Max Media’s share of the Outer Banks Voice local news site.
WPW Broadcasting’s Prairie Radio Communications sells Classic Rock “Vintage Sound 93.1” KMCS and Farm/Classic Country 860 KWPC/95.1 K236CF Muscatine IA as well as the “Voice of Muscatine” local news site to JAM Media for $965,000.
Jonathan A Mason Sr. launched JAM Media Solutions in 2015 as a media planning and buying agency. He previously spent eight years at Cumulus Media’s New York City cluster where he rose to General Sales Manager for 770 WABC and Urban AC “Radio 103.9” WNBM. Mason also spent time at Cox Media Group’s Long Island cluster as National Sales Manager and with CBS Radio.
