Now positioning as “Fresno’s Greatest Hits”, the new format positions the station up against Art Laboe’s Rhtyhmic leaning Classic Hits 94.3 KOKO and Cumulus Media’s Rhythmic Oldies “Mega 97.9” KMGV. KJWL had picked up its now former Soft AC format when it moved from 99.3 and dropped its AAA “Jewel-FM” identity in January 2017.
