The management team of Local Media San Diego, owners of CHR “Z90.3” XHITZ, Alternative “91X” 91.1 XETRA-FM, and Rhythmic Oldies “Magic 92.5” KXRM Tijuana/San Diego, is buying out investment firm Thoma Bravo to take over ownership of those stations.
The team led by current CFO Norm McKee, VP/GM Gregg Wolfson, and Director Steve McNeely will acquire the three stations and their related assets for an undisclosed amount. The current team will continue to oversee the Local Media San Diego business that Thoma Bravo acquired from Finest City Broadcasting in December 2009. At various times the group operated additional stations in the market including Broadcast Company of Americas three Tijuana stations targeting the San Diego market and Midwest Television’s 760 KFMB and 100.7 KFMB-FM under Joint Operating Agreements.
