Adams Radio CHR “Hot 107.9” WJFX Fort Wayne IN is seeking their next evening host as Patrick Grey is stepping aside for a non-radio position.
HOT 1079 (WJFX) is looking for someone to take over night-time radio in Fort Wayne. HOT is on top in the ratings and we are known for being the content leaders in the city. We are looking for someone who can help HOT stay winning and connect with our fans each evening. Our current night host is pursuing a career outside of radio and will be stepping aside soon, creating this great opening.
If you’re presently full-time in a smaller market, or part-time in a bigger market, this could be a great move for you. Familiarity with, and passion for current Pop/Top 40 music is a must.
Fort Wayne is a fantastic mid-sized city with a lot of great things happening here.
You should be creative and passionate. You should be able to fully relate to an active, millennial audience. The radio market is good here. Our hosts are professionals who know what great radio sounds like and you should as well. Can you work the phones (calls/texts), work social media and represent HOT 1079 at appearances and remotes?
What else can you bring to the table? Graphics? Basic video chops? Imaging/Production?
Send me a paragraph introducing yourself and telling me why you are ready to do nights at HOT 1079. Current/recent aircheck, resume, social links (FB/Twitter/IG), and tell me your 3 favorite songs right now.
Send it all over to me. I’m Robbie Mack, the Brand Manager here. Use this e-mail address: jobathot@gmail.com
HOT 1079 and Adams Radio Group are EOE.
And Chuck Knight sadly loses a job as Entercom again insists on fitting a legendary independent into its narrow visioned one size fits all corporate mold. Knight has produced an exceptional career working for the smaller guys — Emmis, Saga, Jerry Lee — mostly flying under the radar, not seeking nor receiving endless mentions in the trades, and all the while working in a format that most consider “not cool.” Knight creates great sounding radio with staffs that highly respect him as a programmer, a leader and as a human being.
