A pair of Cumulus Media CHRs have switched morning shows swapping out YEA Networks Kidd Kraddick for Westwood One’s The Bert Show.
“97 BHT” 97.1 WBHT Mountain Top/95.7 WBHD Olyphant PA serving the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre market and “Hot 102.5” WLTO Nicholasville/Lexington KY will join “95.7 The Vibe” KCHZ Kansas City in picking up The Bert Show for the new year.
Based at “Q99.7” WWWQ Atlanta, the Bert Show left YEA Networks to have Cumulus Media’s Westwood One take over distribution for the show in July 2018.
A new voice has arrived to Lexington bringing plenty of laughs along with authentic, no-holds-barred conversation about the day’s most talked about topics in the pop culture world. The Bert Show debuted this week on Hot 102.5 in the 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. morning-drive slot.
Forget about what you’ve known previously about morning shows. The Bert Show offers a unique blend of lifestyle advice, entertainment news, celebrity interviews, humor, on-air community and candid peeks into the personal lives of the entire on-air cast. Hosted by Bert Weiss and co-hosts Kristin Klingshirn, Davi Crimmins, and Moe Mitchell, The Bert Show considers no personal topic off limits no matter how uncomfortable. The Bert Show is “Real. Funny.” radio.
“We are unbelievably excited to add The Bert Show to Hot 102.5,” says Anthony “Twitch” Longo, Operations Manager for Cumulus Broadcasting – Lexington. “Not only is The Bert Show one of the absolute BEST radio programs in the country, but it is also an honor to have Kristin Klingshirn back on the air in her hometown! Having The Bert Show is a game changer for WLTO!”
The Bert Show is equally notable for giving back through numerous charitable events and programs, including Bert’s Big Adventure, a five-day, all-expenses paid trip to Walt Disney World® for children with chronic and terminal illnesses and their families. For more information about Bert’s Big Adventure and to nominate a deserving family for the 2020 trip, please visit www.bertsbigadventure.org.
“Having The Bert Show in Lexington is super personal for us,” says Bert Weiss, host of The Bert Show. “We’re a very tight group and Lexington is Kristin’s hometown. She’s always spoken so highly of the city and most of us had the chance to experience Lexington’s charm when we visited for her wedding in 2017. I, personally, donated a lot to Lexington’s economy at Keeneland that weekend. Kristin has a ton of Lexington tales to tell and we already feel connected to the city though her.”
