Steve Davis will depart his position as VP/Programming for Entercom Washington DC and PD of Classic Hits “94.7 The Drive” WIAD and Rhythmic CHR 95.5 WPGC on October 4 following the expiration of his contract.
Davis joined the cluster in 2010 from the SVP position at Zapoleon Media Strategies. He has also served as VP/Programming of Next Media and has programmed WAPW Atlanta, WKXX Birmingham, WZGO Philadelphia, WRVQ Richmond, and WZNE Tampa during his career.
Al Payne is stepping down as Program Director at Cumulus Urban AC “Magic 107.3” KMJK Kansas City to relocate back east. Payne joined KMJK in April 2018 after previously programming WMGC Detroit, Alpha Media Louisville, WERQ/WWIN-FM Baltimore, WKYS Washington DC, WDMK/WHTD Detroit, WCDX/WKJS Richmond, KRNB Dallas, WQMG Greensboro, and WMNX Wilmington NC.
Steve Hausmann will retire from mornings at Entercom Country 92.5 WBEE Rochester NY on August 30 culminating a 50 year broadcasting career. Hausmann has been in mornings at WBEE since 2001 and then Rochester market since 1987 after a long run at WHDH Boston. Entercom is seeking a new co-host to join Jeremy Newman and TJ Sharp.
‘Hurricane’ Dave Smith has exited his role as VP/Operations & Programming for Radio One Atlanta. Smith also oversaw the Rickey Smiley show and stations in Raleigh, Charlotte and Richmond. He joined the company in 2009 as Program Director of “Hot 107.9” WHTA and was promoted to his current position in 2016. He told RadioFacts.com that a “misunderstanding led to his dismissal”.
YEA Networks has promoted Sean Nunn to President of the company. Nunn has served as EVP/Sales since 2016 after previously serving as VP/National Sales for Townsquare Media and GAP Broadcasting.
YEA Networks, one of the top independent radio and podcast companies in the U.S., announces that it has promoted media executive Shawn Nunn to President. In the newly created position, Nunn will oversee YEA Networks’ popular nationally syndicated radio programs, including: The Kidd Kraddick Morning Show, Tino Cochino Radio, and The Hollywood 5, as well as YEA Networks’ growing family of podcasts. He has served as Executive Vice President, Sales, for YEA Networks since 2016.
Nunn joined YEA Networks after five years with Townsquare Media, where he was Vice President of National Sales. Prior to that, Nunn was Vice President of Sales at GAP Broadcasting for four years. He has worked in all aspects of the media industry for nearly 30 years in the Dallas-Fort Worth, Seattle and Colorado Springs markets. A Texas native, Nunn earned his Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism from Texas State University.

United Stations Radio Networks has announced the hiring of Greg Janoff as Chief Revenue Officer. Janoff has most recently been running his own consultancy, but has previously served as Regional Vice President for Townsquare Media New Jersey, EVP/Revenue for Merlin Media, and multiple roles at CBS Radio including Director of Sales of WCBS/WINS New York, General Sales Manager, Director of Sales, and General Manager of WINS.
United Stations Radio Networks, Inc., (USRN) an independent leader in original network radio programming, today announced the addition of GREG JANOFF in the role of Chief Revenue Officer effective immediately. In his new capacity, Janoff will oversee all of the company’s advertising sales efforts which range from the traditional radio network business to the ever-expanding audio and video revenue streams available to advertisers and marketing partners via the company’s varied digital platforms. This personnel move brings a highly regarded and seasoned executive with an extensive resume in both sales and radio station management to the United Stations team. This appointment is effective immediately, and the announcement comes from the USRN’s Chairman/CEO, Nick Verbitsky to whom Janoff will report.
Greg Janoff will be based at USRN’s New York office, and he joins USRN with over thirty-five years in the media industry. Since 1995, Janoff has been in the New York City area where he held several upper management positions for CBS Radio and Entercom. At various times, Janoff was VP/General Manager for WINS-AM (1010 WINS), VP/Director of Sales for WINS, WCBS and WFAN and Station Manager for WINS. Greg also spent three years running Townsquare Media’s New Jersey and Michigan markets as their Regional Vice President which followed a two-year stint as EVP/Revenue for Merlin Media’s five radio stations in New York, Chicago and Philadelphia. Greg got his start in the Boston area after graduating from Boston University with a Broadcast Journalism degree. In Boston he work for several radio companies before landing at WBZ-AM which was his first position with the group that would become CBS Radio.
