A pair of Florida translators were issued Notices of Violation for having spurious emissions causing interference to planes approaching Jacksonville International Airport.
Richard Van Zandt’s 102.3 W272DH New Smyrna Beach was noted for spurs on 114.8 MHz and 127.58 MHz, while Cornerstone Broadcasting’s 102.7 W274AY Deltona had a spur on 126.47 MHz.
Pirate Actions
The FCC has proposed a $10,000 fine to Gerald Sutton of Alma AR for operating a pirate on 103.1 in that community. The agency states that when they visited the location, Sutton refused inspection but then shut off the station briefly until the FCC agent exited the location. Following a Notice of Unlicensed Operation, Sutton responded to the FCC stating that the Communications Act did not apply to him.
The FCC has issued a Notice of Unlicensed Operation to Ralph F. Hooper for operating on 87.9 in Swanzey NH.
