Station Sales Week Of 8/30: EMF Buys Five From Family Radio

Educational Media Foundation K-Love Air1 WTA GroupFamily Stations Inc. is selling four stations and one translator in Georgia and New York to Educational Media Foundation for $1.4 million. EMF will add 89.9 WFBF Buffalo, 91.7 WFRH Kingston and 104.3 W282BI Catskill NY plus 88.7 WFRP Americus and 90.5 WFRC Columbus GA. EMF currently has zero presence in any of those markets.

Penfold Communications sells Christian 88.9 WTPG Whitehouse/Toledo OH to Taylor University for $500,000. WTPG will join the regional Christian AC network based at 90.3 WBCL Fort Wayne IN.

Family Media Group sells Silent 1270 WMPM/94.3 W232DO Smithfield NC to Jimmie Johnson’s Johnson Broadcast Ventures for $155,000. A Time Brokerage Agreement will kick in upon resumption of operations. Johnson owns 1230 WCBT Roanoke Rapids NC.

3B Tennessee buys Country/Bluegrass 580 WYHM/103.9 W280FK Rockwood TN from The Holler Inc. for $150,000. Parent company 3B Properties owns CHR “94.1 The Vibe” 1410 WVVB Kingston, Classic Hits “105.7 The Hog” WIHG Rockwood, and AC “98.9 The Wolf” WOFE Byrdstown TN.

Al Decker’s Goldrush Broadcasting sells Full Service 980 KDSJ Deadwood SD to Loren and Pace Maier’s 4 Paws Broadcasting for $405,000.

Chris Boone’s Southeast Texas Telecom sells Silent 1300 KLLS Lumberton/Beaumont TX to Carlos Lopez for $125,527.32.
