Ahead of the network’s closure next week, Entravision has flipped its six “ESPN Deportes Radio” affiliates to Ranchera/Norteño music utilizing the “Jose” moniker.
The stations debuting the new programming are 710 KBMB Black Canyon City/Phoenix AZ, 1570 KCVR Lodi/Sacramento CA, 1090 KMXA Aurora/Denver CO, 1450 KRZY Albuquerque NM, 1650 KSVE El Paso TX, and 1460 KBZO Lubbock TX. All of the stations are currently running the same playlist.
Entravision previously used the “Jose” moniker for its network of Spanish Adult Hits stations in twelve markets until January 2018. It was quickly resurrected in the Inland Empire four months later and then added the 107.1 trimulcast serving Los Angeles, Oxnard/Ventura, and parts of San Diego in January 2019.
ESPN Deportes Radio will cease operations nationally on September 8.
