The fourth and final day of Nielsen Audio’s PPM releases for September 2019 bring Austin, Raleigh/Durham, Indianapolis, Milwaukee, Nashville, Providence, Norfolk, Jacksonville, West Palm Beach, Greensboro, Memphis, and Hartford.
All the numbers can be found at RadioInsight.com/Ratings.
Numbers of note include:
- iHeartMedia Country 98.1 KVET-FM Austin has the biggest gain of the month with a 3.3 to 5.0 rise. The gain did not come at the expense of sister Country 100.7 KASE as it only falls 4.9 to 4.7 nor Austin Radio Network’s 99.3 KOKE-FM as it holds at a 1.8. Also with big gains this month were Emmis’ (now Sinclair Communications) combo of Regional Mexican “La Z” 107.1 KLZT up 4.3 to 5.3 and Alternative “101X” KROX up 3.9 to 4.7.
- Entercom Hot AC “Mix 94.7” KAMX heads in the other direction with a 5.9 – 4.6 – 4.0 three month trend.
- Capitol Broadcasting AC “Mix 101.5” WRAL-FM Raleigh jumps from sixth to second with a 6.1 to 7.5 gain.
- Today’s big NFL boost goes to Cumulus Sports “104.5 The Zone” WGFX Nashville with a 3.2 to 4.7 rise. It’s also been a few good months for Nashville Public Radio’s 90.3 WPLN-FM with a 5.1 – 6.2 – 6.9 trend.
- A new market leader in Providence as iHeartMedia Rock 94.1 WHJY moves 8.6 to 9.3. Cumulus AC “Lite 105” WWLI holds in second with an 8.5 to 8.9 gain and Hall Country “Cat Country 98.1” WCTK falls to third down 9.3 to 8.3.
- Cox News/Talk 104.5 WOKV-FM Jacksonville extends its lead to 3 share points as it rises 9.0 to 10.4 and Renda AC 96.1 WEJZ drops 7.5 to 7.4.
- There still has been no traction in the Milwaukee FM Sports battle with the start of the NFL season. Good Karma’s “ESPN 94.5” WKTI is up 0.7 to 0.8, iHeartMedia’s “97.3 The Game” WRNW holds steady at 0.7 while Entercom’s “105.7 The Fan” 1250 WSSP is up 0.5 to 0.6. The NFL’s Packers season starting and MLB’s Brewers playoff push did help Good Karma News/Talk’s 620 WTMJ rise 7.1 to 7.5.
