Entercom Sports 660 WFAN/101.9 WFAN-FM New York has officially revealed its on-air lineup for 2020 following the second “retirement” of Mike Francesa from afternoon drive and Bart Scott’s move to 98.7 WEPN-FM.
Boomer Esiason and Gregg ‘Gio’ Giannotti will remain in mornings from 6-10am. Maggie Gray, who previously was part of the 1-3pm CMB Show with Scott and Chris Carlin, will move to 10am-2pm with Marc Malusis rejoining the station. He moved to middays in 2004 with Sid Rosenberg before Roberts joined him in 2007. Roberts began his radio career as a kid on Long Island with a show on 1240 WGBB and the Radio Aahs network. He worked at Sirius and 106.7 WJFK Washington before joining WFAN.
Mike Francesa will continue to be heard with a half hour program from 6-630pm in addition to programming he creates for Entercom’s Radio.com. He will also host special programs, remote broadcasts and will contribute to other shows on WFAN.
Steve Somers will remain heard at night around WFAN’s play-by-play broadcasts and John ‘JJ’ Jastremski will become the station’s full-time overnight host.
Entercom, a leading media and entertainment company and the unrivaled leader in sports radio, today announced a new programming lineup for WFAN (WFAN-FM/AM) New York’s flagship sports station, effective January 6, 2020.
“This is quite an impressive lineup of talent on WFAN as we remain the one and only place to talk New York sports all day, every day,” said Mark Chernoff, Senior Vice President, Entercom New York. “Combined with our play-by-play of New York Yankees baseball, New York Giants football, Brooklyn Nets basketball and New Jersey Devils hockey, as well as our slate of National Football League games, we look forward to expanding our position as the flagship station for New York sports fans.”
