Despite currently sitting in fourth place in the Tyler/Longview market with a 7.2 share in the Spring 2019 ratings, Townsquare registered a series of domains for the station including 1073BreezeFMTyler.com, 1073KissFMTexas.com, 1073KissFMTX.com, 1073TexasAlt.com, 1073TheBreeze.com, and 1073TylerAlt.com giving three potential brands, two of which have history in the market. KISX has already utilized the "Kiss" moniker twice in its history with a CHR format. First in the early 1990s and again from 2001 to 2005 before moving to its current Adult R&B identity. Whereas "The Breeze" has become the standard moniker for many of the new Soft AC launches across the country in recent years, the name has significance in Tyler/Longview as the longtime brand for 95.3 KFRO-FM/102.3 KLJT until staffers were locked out in 2016 and the stations were subsequently sold. The only thing working against a possible CHR launch at KISX is the existence of "Mix 93.1" KTYL-FM Tyler. KTYL-FM has evolved from Hot AC to CHR in recent years musically and carries The Kidd Kraddick Morning Show and the CHR version of Townsquare's PopCrush Nights. It doesn't completely rule out the move though if the plan is to launch a heavily Rhythmic leaning CHR to compete with Reynolds Radio's market leading "The Blaze" 102.7 KBLZ/106.9 KAZE. Without a Mainstream AC station in the market, a Soft AC iteration of "Breeze" cannot be ruled out. Alternative seems like a bigger stretch, but the market currently has zero current based Rock stations. The only Rock based station in the Tyler/Longview market is Townsquare's "Classic Rock 96.1" KKTX. [/membership]
