After being one of the many exits from iHeartMedia last week, former Classic Country “96.1 KXY” KXXY Oklahoma City PD/morning host Bill Reed has become the first dislocated employee to find a new position.
Reed has joined Champlin Broadcasting Classic Country “99.7 Hank-FM” KNAH Mustang/Oklahoma City as afternoon host. Reed fills the opening created by KC Sheperd departing earlier this month for Radio Oklahoma AG Network as Associate Farm Director and afternoon anchor.
Reed had been with KXXY since 1994 and also was heard on most of iHeartMedia’s other Classic Country stations.
KNAH rose from a 1.7 to 2.5 share in the December Nielsen Audio ratings placing it just behind KXXY’s 2.6 share.
