After purchasing Benton-Weatherford Broadcasting and co-owned WHDM Broadcasting’s stations in northwestern Tennessee to add to their existing cluster last year, Forever South Communications has begun revamping their portfolio in the market.
94.3 WZGY Dyer has dropped its simulcast of Classic Country “Willie 94” 1390 WLLI/94.1 W231BU East Union and is now paired with 99.3 WWGY Fulton KY/Union City TN as Country “Froggy 94.3/99.3“. “Froggy” becomes the company’s second Country station in the region joining “104.7 WMUF” WHNY-FM Henry, although there is no signal overlap between the brands.
99.3 WWGY was previously WWKF as one half of the Hot AC “KF99/KQ105” simulcast with 105.5 WAKQ Paris TN. WAKQ has flipped to Classic Rock “Rocky 105.5” WRQR-FM.
