Red Apple Media Conservative Talk 770 WABC New York has made its first major programming change since closing on its acquisition of the station earlier this month.
WABC dropped Westwood One’s Ben Shapiro from afternoon drive this week and added a rotating series of guest hosts in the 3-5pm slot and Steve Bannon’s syndicated “War Room: Pandemic” in the 5pm hour.
Today WABC featured Attorney Arthur Aidala in the 3pm hour and Bill O’Reilly, whose syndicated commentary was just picked up by WABC to air at 7:25 every morning, in the 4pm hour. Tomorrow 12-3pm hosts Curtis Sliwa and Juliet Huddy will host an additional hour and Fox News’ Brian Kilmeade, whose syndicated show airs on WABC from 10am-12pm will do an additional hour for the station at 4. Former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie will host 3-5pm on Thursday and former New York Governor George Pataki on Friday. Rudy Giuliani hosted on Monday.
The station is describing the moves as special programming for this week for now.
Even by AM talk standards, this is pathetic.
