While normally released in April of each year, BIA Advisory Services revealed the Top 10 billing stations of 2019 today.
For the fifth consecutive year (and nine of the last ten) Hubbard News 103.5 WTOP Washington DC is the number one billing station in the country with a short gain from $69 million to $69.8 million. The second through ninth stations remain in the same order as 2018 with iHeartMedia’s 102.7 KIIS-FM and “104.3 My-FM” KBIG Los Angeles followed by “Z100” WHTZ New York in fifth. Entercom holds the next four spots with 660 WFAN/101.9 WFAN-FM, 1010 WINS, and 880 WINS New York and 780 WBBM/105.9 WCFS Chicago.
The big story is the new station taking the tenth spot. Beasley Media’s “98.5 The Sports Hub” WBZ-FM Boston with $36.95 million in billing for 2019. iHeartMedia’s 640 KFI Los Angeles held that spot in 2018.
