Nashville Public Radio will complete its transition of “91 Classical” 91.1 WFCL Nashville to Adult Alternative “91.one” WNXP at 3pm this afternoon.
The launch, which was first announced in August, will see the station emphasize news and emerging artists from Nashville from the genres of what they call Indie Rock, Urban Alternative, Electro Pop and Pop Alternative.
The station is also promoting a “Nashville Artist of the Month” feature that will include regular airplay, a fully produced feature story, artist-curated playlists and a live video session. The first artist to be featured will be Rapper/Producer Namir ‘A Black Recluse’ Blade.
WNXP’s on-air lineup will feature Marquis Munson in mornings, Music Director Jewly Hight in middays, Program Director Jason Moon Wilkins in afternoons, and APD Mickey Parks at night.
