After a listener and advertiser backlash led to her exit from Entercom News/Talk 1020 KDKA in September, Wendy Bell is joining St. Barnabas Broadcasting Conservative Talk 1320 WJAS/99.1 W256DE Pittsburgh.
Bell took to Facebook to announce she will host from 11am to 12pm on Monday through Thursday and from 9am to 12pm on Fridays starting on Monday, January 25. Prior to joining KDKA as afternoon host in December 2018, Bell spent 18 years as an anchor at WTAE-TV before being fired in 2016 for racist comments made on Facebook.
St. Barnabas Broadcasting closed on its $2.05 million purchase of WJAS earlier this week. The company is a subsidiary of St. Barnabas Charities which operates a chain of nursing homes and assisted living centers in the Pittsburgh region.
