Ritmo Broadcasting will launch Spanish CHR “Ritmo 98.5/104.1” in New Jersey on Monday, February 15.
The new brand will be heard on 98.5 W253DG Trenton, 104.1 W281CL Cherry Hill and 104.1 W281CM Swedesboro via Beasley Media’s 97.5 WPEN-HD3 Burlington/Philadelphia. The new launch follows Ritmo’s debut of CHR “WIFI 92.9” 1460 WIFI Florence/92.9 W225DJ Burlington in November.
The company has also announced the appointment of Uriel Rendón as Director of Marketing and Sales Development. Rendón has previously held sales and management positions at multiple Spanish language television and radio properties in the greater Philadelphia region.
Ritmo Media and Broadcasting through its president Miguel Amador, announced today the appointment of Uriel Rendón as its director of marketing and sales development.
“We are very excited to have Uriel as part of our team’’ says Miguel Amador. Uriel is a veteran broadcaster and a pioneer in the Spanish language broadcasting industry spending his career mostly around the greater Philadelphia area. In 1987, he joined a team of media innovators that introduced Spanish-language television to the region. WTGI-TV 61-Telemundo was the first station to broadcast in Spanish in Greater Philadelphia area. He later went on to introduce the market to Univision with its first TV station WXTV-LP42. Through the years he had different management roles at Telemundo, Univision, Comcast Spotlight, Mega-1310AM and El Zol Media. Uriel will be responsible for sales development and marketing for Ritmo Broadcasting.
The first platform that the company launched is CHR format WIFI-92.9 FM. On February 15th Ritmo Broadcasting is launching Tropical/Spanish CHR Ritmo 98.5/104.1FM. Both radio stations will be serving the English and Spanish speaking communities covering the Trenton MSA that includes Northern Burlington County NJ, parts of Mercer County NJ and Bucks County Pa. “I am thrilled to be back in the area and looking forward to getting our platforms up and running” Uriel says.
