Hubbard Radio Classic Rock “97.1 The Drive” WDRV Chicago/96.9 WWDV Zion IL has announced the promotion of Janda Lane to Music Director and midday host.
Lane has been serving as interim midday host since Bob Stroud stepped down at the end of June. She previously co-hosted afternoons with Steve Seaver since joining the station in 2018 and hosts the podcast Behind The Song for the station. She previously served as MD for Alternative “Wave 96.1” WAVF Charleston SC in the late 90s and hosted at KCRW Los Angeles while spending much of her career in different roles in the music industry including Content Director for Fender, Executive Producer at Yahoo! Music, Director of Digital for Rhino Records, and Marketing/Promotions Director for Sub Pop Records.
Hubbard Radio Chicago’s 97.1 FM The Drive (WDRV) Brand & Content Director Keith Hastings announced today that Janda Lane has been promoted to permanent midday show host and Music Director at The Drive.
For the past four years, Janda co-hosted afternoons with Steve Seaver before temporarily stepping in for legendary midday host Bob Stroud who semi-retired in June of 2022. Stroud will continue hosting his daily features Ten at 10 and One 45 at 1:45 during Janda’s midday program. Along with her new show, Janda will also add Music Director duties and continue to host her Marconi Award-nominated podcast, Behind The Song.
