Six months after joining iHeartMedia CHR “Hot 99.5” WIHT Washington DC as night host, Nick Gomez has been promoted to Music Director at the station.
Gomez joined WIHT in July 2022 from “Z100” WHTZ New York where he has spent his entire career starting as an an intern in 2018. He began hosting weekends in late 2019 and moved to the live overnight shift in May 2021. He also tracks shifts on multiple iHeart CHRs and Pride Radio. Gomez also served as student Program Director at William Paterson University’s 88.7 WPSC-FM Wayne NJ. He will continue in his previous role working under Program Director Rob Kruz.

iHeartMedia has the leading consumer reach and influence across multiple platforms and delivers more live programming than any other media company. As Music Director, Nick Gomez will be responsible for music programming and content on HOT 99.5. He will report to Rob Kruz, Program Director for iHeartMedia Washington, D.C.

Nick Gomez most recently served as the Night Host on HOT 99.5.He began his career as an intern at Z100 in New York before taking on overnights full time.
