Original Report 6/8: Frank Neely’s Wisdom LLC will flip Gospel “Shout 94.7” WAAW Williston/Aiken SC to Sports on July 3 as an unannounced entity begins operating the station via LMA.
General Manager Donna Moore Wesby writes that the change is due to the owner retiring adding, “Before you ask how could the owner make such a decision, I challenge everyone to look within and ask what was done to ensure the financial sustainability of this community station that faithfully served for 28 years — the station that delivers great Gospel music, the Word of God, inspiration, and all the empowerment broadcasts — and of course Shoutfest! WAAW provided a platform that many churches, organizations, and businesses used to elevate their efforts.”
The station intends to host a farewell for the community on Saturday, July 1.
