iHeartMedia CHR “Y100” WHYI Fort Lauderdale/Miami has introduced Janetzy Perera as midday host.
Perera began her career in promotions at iHeartMedia Miami and later held on-air roles at SBS’ “Ritmo 95.7” WRMA and “El Zol 106.7” WXDJ and as morning co-host at Cox Media Group’s then CHR “Hits 97.3” WFLC.
Sami Jo Negron, who has held the midday shift at WHYI since February 2022 is moving to a new on-air role in iHeartMedia’s National Programming Group.
iHeartMedia announced today that Janetzy Perera has been named Midday Host for Y100 Miami, Miami’s #1 Hit Music Station @ 100.7FM, effective immediately.
As Y100 Midday Host, Janetzy will be responsible for on-air shows from 10am-2pm (EST) Monday through Friday. She will report to Taylor Jukes, Y100 Program Director for iHeartMedia Miami.

Janetzy joins iHeartMedia Miami with versatile on-air and producing experience at multiple South Florida radio stations, co-hosting mornings at WFLC plus various on-air shows at WRMA and WXDJ. She began her career in Promotions at iHeartMedia Miami and is a graduate of FIU.

Effective immediately, Y100’s Sami Jo moves to an exciting new on-air role with iHeartMedia’s National Programming Group.
